Revolutionizing Connection: How Mayple Empowered the U.S. National Whitewater Center through Email Marketing

The U.S. National Whitewater Center is more than a recreational haven; it's a dynamic force for transformative change. By providing accessible outdoor experiences and nurturing a vibrant sense of community, Whitewater Center lives and breathes its mission. It's not just about enjoying nature; it's about inviting everyone to partake in the adventure.

What Were the Challenges:

In this adventure, Steven, the Marketing Manager at the Whitewater Center, faced two significant challenges on the marketing front. The first was a desire for automation, enabling more immediate engagement with guests once they left the Whitewater Center's embrace. The second challenge was precision: they wanted to send information that mattered, ensuring that their audience received updates that were relevant to their prior interactions. The hurdles were significant, but they were ready to tackle them head-on.

How Partnering with Mayple Helped:

The turning point arrived when the Whitewater Center joined forces with Mayple. The consultant assigned to their project was not just an expert but a game-changer. They provided insights that were not generic but tailored, not formulaic but innovative. The Mayple audit uncovered an array of tools and features within their email marketing platform that could surgically address the Whitewater Center's identified pain points.

The Expert's Approach:

  1. Understanding the Mission: The expert began by deeply understanding the Whitewater Center's unique mission, audience, and challenges, ensuring that all advice was tailored to their specific needs.
  2. Personalization with Merge Tags: Personalizing emails using merge tags made each message feel individualized, increasing engagement and response rates.
  3. Strategic Call-to-Action Buttons: Crafting a strategy that incorporated persuasive call-to-action buttons turned every email into a powerful prompt for action.
  4. A/B Testing: Implementing A/B testing allowed for data-driven decision-making, fine-tuning email content based on real audience feedback.
  5. Engagement from the Start: Recognizing the importance of engagement from the beginning, the expert recommended setting up a Welcome journey for new customers, improving open and click rates.
  6. Custom Performance Reporting: Creating a custom report tailored to the Whitewater Center's specific needs provided valuable insights into email performance, enabling informed decision-making.

This holistic approach aimed not just at short-term improvements but at equipping the Whitewater Center with the tools and knowledge for sustained success in email marketing.

Impact and Transformation:

The transformation was nothing short of extraordinary. The Whitewater Center set its sights on boosting the Open Rate and Total Clicks, and, with Mayple's guidance, they achieved spectacular results. Open Rates soared by 7.5%, and Total Clicks witnessed a phenomenal 35% increase. Beyond these metrics, clicks per unique opens increased while the number of unsubscribes dwindled, signifying the resounding success of their revamped email marketing strategy.

Conclusion:

Investing in email marketing wasn't just a choice for the Whitewater Center; it was a necessity. Email remains their most potent channel for direct communication with their core audience. With Mayple's dedicated support, they were able to refine their approach, ensuring that every email sent delivered pertinent, actionable information.

On One Studios

The Challenge of of Startup Growth

What’s good for the user is good for search. The biggest challenge of the SEO audit for On One Studios (and all companies) is maintaining a customer-focused approach when optimizing.

Every action in the audit must answer the question: how does this help the user on your website? Each tweak needed to embody the core drive of the company.

We came up with a human-centric SEO strategy to guide my approach. The web audit was designed to address three critical issues:

Understanding the company’s core value proposition and drive.

Great tactics mean nothing without a proper guiding strategy. Before I started any optimization, I spoke with management on what constituted the company’s core drives. By understanding their unique selling proposition, I could write copy that reflected their goals.

Addressing website architecture problems with user-centric best practices.

The website needed to make sense to customers. From URL structure to homepage navigation, I needed to make sure each click on the website made it easy to get to a sale.

Identify competitor SEO strategies to implement off-page SEO tactics.

A key pillar of getting a site to rank is the number of backlinks pointing to it. I needed to create a comprehensive, white hat backlink strategy to boost the site’s domain authority. By looking at who our competitors were linked (and linking to), I got a sense of the types of backlinks I was looking for.
